UNT's Wrestling team is attacking the 2016-2017 with momentum. The Mean green are coming off of a first place finish in the NCWA Southwestern Conference and is looking to continue to improve on last seasons success.
UNT has put in a lot of great work in the off season by adding new wrestlers form across the state of Texas. Led by Wrestling Legend Andre Metzger the Mean Green wrestling team has been recruiting current students and former high school standouts. This years team is showing a lot of promise. If you would like to join the team or reach out and help support the team we welcome everyone to check out our many sources of media. We have a Facebook, twitter, and Instagram page to help anyone that wants to be part of the Mean Green wrestling team.
Although the team is showing a lot of promise, the NCWA southwest conference is no slouch and it will not be an easy task to complete the repeat. There is strong competition coming from UTA, University of Houston, and Richland College. The wins they receive this season will have to be earned in blood, sewat and tears, but champions shine at the hardest times. We need all the help we can get to be successful so do not be afraid to hop on our bandwagon and help us keep rollin'.
